[Guide] How to Change your O2Jam Background Music

Okay, I've been receiving a lot of "PANO PALITAN YUNG BACKGROUND NG O2 JAM PLSPLS PSLSSSSS!!!ONEONEONE"

So, Here me goes.

Okay... Things you'll need:

1. A good Sound Editor, like Audacity or Goldwave... Goldwave works great. Download them Here.
Audacity: Click!
Goldwave: Click!

2. Your BGM.ojm file.. (you can find this in your O2Jam's Music Folder)

3. Notetool (Classified, so please don't abuse)

Download that here: (WARNING, CLASSIFIED CONTENT AHEAD) Click!

Okay, Let's get started.

----

The idea here is to convert your music into OGG. and replace the current OGG of your OJM.. If you don't get it, just stop thinking about it and READ. I'll make this as simple as possible..

So first things first.. Know what Music you want to replace and What song you want to replace it with...

Start off with having your mp3 ready, place it in a folder along with the other files.

Open your mp3 with Goldwave or Audacity and Save as ogg.. (files can be opened just by dragging the mp3 on the workwindow of both editors.)

Saving with Goldwave

Fig 1.1

With the mp3 loaded. Your window should look like this..
Go to file, Save Selection As.

Fig 1.2

Type in any filename you want.. Then choose "ogg" on the "save as file" dropbox
Then hit save..

Saving with Audacity

Same thing with loading.. Just drop your mp3 and poof.. It's loaded..
on saving, Just Click: FILE, EXPORT AS OGG VORBIS.

Now you have your OGG file.. YEY! Time to Load it in your OJM :)

Open up notetool (I recommend the new one)

If you want to change your BGM when in a versus/single room read along..

if you want to change the LOBBY BGM. Ignore the text written in a step with a SPOILER.. and Read what's written in the spoiler instead

1. Drag your "BGM.ojm" file on your notetool..

4. Click on "LOAD" just below the tab

5. locate the OGG you just made earlier, and Load.

6. Fill up the text boxes above the tab.. (Name, Artist, Editor, ID, Genre and BPM. Any random value/text will do)

7. Click on File..SAVE AS.

8. Save your work as "TEST" in the same folder where your OGG is located. This will give you 3 new files.. TEST.ojn, TEST.ojm and another file which isnt really important.

9. Discard TEST.ojn.

10. Rename TEST.ojm into "BGM.ojm" (You'll have to delete the older BGM.ojm, if it's in the same folder as TEST.ojm) and place it back in your o2jam's MUSIC folder..

Rename TEST.ojm into "EVENT.ojm" (You'll have to delete the older EVENT.ojm, if it's in the same folder as TEST.ojm) and place it back in your o2jam's MUSIC folder..

Test it out by Running O2Jam.
